Governing body in London
The LVA acts as the governing body for volleyball in London. We administer the London Region on behalf of Volleyball England and work closely with them where their initiatives impact the sport in London. We also act independently to promote and encourage in every way the game of volleyball in London.
We are a membership based organisation for individuals and groups like clubs. If you are involved in volleyball in London and wish to influence how volleyball is run and develops in London you should consider joining us as a member.
Clubs who enter teams in our leagues are required to be members of the LVA. This ensures all clubs playing in the London League are properly represented in the event of a dispute and allows them to influence how the league is organised.
Coaches, officials and volunteers who are looking to improve what they do will find individual membership particularly worthwhile as the LVA co-ordinates courses and other development opportunities.
Volunteer administrators and sport professionals who need funds for their activities can benefit too as one of our important roles is securing and distributing funds from external sources. These are usually aimed at young players and minority groups and the funding bodies often prefer to deal with organisations like the LVA who have good networks of people who can deliver projects.
President & officers
The management of the association is done by a committee of elected officers and overseen by a president all of which are elected from the individual class of member.
