Beware Wildkats

Mid season review Women’s 1A Division (London Volleyball League)
Opportunity for four to climb

As with the Premier Division, it’s look out for Giants too. However, the club’s second team has lost twice in the first half of the season so more serious challengers for the promotion spots are unbeaten Wimbledon Wildkats and Malory Eagles Black and White Bears each having lost just one game. Both losses were to Wildkats, Malory away in five sets and White Bears at home in four. The bottom four sides have all lost four times. It’s going to a most competitive second half to the season.

The top four play the bottom four in first round of matches with three games played on the same Sunday. On 12th January Giants are at home to Wimbledon Wildkats on the same day that their Women’s Premier Division plays while Dynamo Divas will be at home to Malory Eagles Black and Lynx entertain White Bears. Lionhearts Cats will be out of league action until 25th when they are to visit Wapping Wildcats. It will be interesting to see how form from the first half of the season is reproduced as things restart – or not.
