Powerball for promotion?
Mid season review Men’s 1B Division (London Volleyball League)
Multiple challengers
Are they unbeatable? Powerball have made a determined drive to return to the Premier Division in the first half of the season, humiliating second placed Giants in three sets ten days before Christmas. Black Bears, who took Powerball to four sets in mid October, look the nearest challengers but Flaming Six Leopards look a possible rival having taken Giants to five sets.
Powerbally are not scheduled to play until 19th January when they entertain Flaming 6 Leopards. With matches in hand, Leopards will be keen to make a strong start at the resumption of competition so it looks an entertaining game. Prior to that on 12th, Giants have a home fixture against Black Bears who, with games in hand, look the nearest challenger for promotion so promising a fascinating encounter and, the same day, Flaming 6 Leopards entertain Bald Eagles in another match where form suggests a close game. KS Osemka and Baks don’t play until 24th when they are due meet in Ealing
