Wildkats claim recognition
When the virus struck Malory Eagles Black had played twelve of their fixtures. Wimbledon Wildkats had completed just nine. However, one of them had been a home win in five tremendous sets against Malory but Malory exacted their revenge with a four set win in Tooting in mid February leaving Wildkats behind, White Bears went on to occupy third place.
They had played only seven times and lost to both Malory and Wimbledon but winning all the others took them comfortably into third place. The remaining teams finished close together with Giants a point ahead of Lynx who were a point above Lionhearts Cats and Dynamo Divas with Wapping Wildcats who had completed twelve of their fourteen fixtures, one fewer than Divas.
As per LVA Executive board’s decision to end the season early only one team will be relegated to Division 2 (Wapping Wildcats) meaning ladies Division 1 pools will have 9 teams next season.
