Men’s 1A – Start
The competition has begun: the prize, a place in the Premier Division. The very first fixture scheduled was for 7th November when Flaming 6 were drawn to visit Bridge Park Sports Centre to play AVC and the home side won 21:17 21:14 21:15. Three days later it was the turn of Blockbusters to entertain Bexley but, just as the season was about to begin, Bexley informed Division Administrator, Madonis that the club would not be able to fulfil its opening fixtures. The administration then took the decision that Bexley could have until the end of the year to update it on their situation if they were still not in a position to play their matches. In the meantime, all scheduled games Home or Away will be awarded to its opposition 3:0. Sadly, this means that fixtures against Inter Blockbusters and Lynx are already lost.
On 15th November, Spikers Knights and K S Osemka enjoy their first game. Four days after that Osemka are to be at home to AVC and on 24th Inter Blockbusters play Flaming 6 Leopards.
London looks forward to a great season and wishes Bexley success as it deals with its difficulties.
