SQUAD prepared to pounce
Mid season review Women’s 1B Division (London Volleyball League)
Thrilling title chase in prospect
Lurking in mid table is SQUAD. The side has played just four times but is unbeaten and the team to worry the rest. They have already beaten IVA Homa who head the table mid season but Homa were away and took them to five sets. It’s close. Flaming Six Coyotes, playing away, were beaten in straight sets though They have not yet played Inter Stingrays though who “lost” a 2:2 draw against IVA Homs and so remain a danger.
SQUAD have an early opportunity to let us evaluate their form when on 11th January they visit Wapping Tigers. The following Wednesday will attract the crowds to second placed Inter Stingrays when they entertain third placed Flaming 6 Coyotes. Wapping Tigers will be in action again when their visitors will be IVA Homa. Then on Sunday the fixture list requires Onyx Yellow to accept a challenge from Lionhearts Fury that will see one of them climbing the table. Imperial College students restart their season rather later on 26th when they visit SQUAD to test their form.
